Championship Game Set for U10 Tournament
West Hartford Youth Baseball League and Simsbury LL Will Face Off for U10 Tournament Championship On Sunday

WHYBL Holds Off Wethersfield American and Simsbury LL Goes Long Ball To Defeat WHLL
West Hartford Youth Baseball, behind the strong pitching of Nick Becker, Shawn Langan, Chase Jeter and Ryan DeLutrie held off a game Wethersfield American team for a 5-3 victory at UCONN in the first semifinal game on Saturday. Michael Mozzicato went the distance and pitched well in defeat for Wethersfield. In the second game Simsbury LL brought out their big bats and defeated West Hartford Little League 13-3. Thomas Girard and Matt Cosentino led the way for Simsbury both hitting long home runs. Girard also went the distance on the mound holding WHLL to three runs on just three hits.

The two winners, who started the tournament off with a classic game, will battle tomorrow at UCONN to become the first ever WHLL U10 Tournament Champion. Come on down and take in the fun!

U10 Travel Season Wraps Up this Weekend
Travel White and Travel Red face off on Sunday
A very successful summer of travel baseball comes to an end this weekend when our two U10 travel teams face off at UCONN at 11:30AM on Sunday. Travel Red(8-3) and Travel White(9-5) opened up their summer travel season back at the end of June with a very exciting game against each other won by Travel Red 8-7. Come on out on Championship Sunday and watch these two exciting teams go at it again.

The Wahoos had to hit their way out of this one as early defensive miscues kept NB Little League in the game. The Wahoos openned with 4 in the bottom of the first on hits by Jeff LaRosa (3-5, 3 runs, double), Grady Brockway (2-4, 2 runs, double), Michael Mack (2-3, double), Joe Kitz (1-3, 2 runs) and Patrick Baron (2-2, double, 1 run). The Nutmeg Games: WHLL Wahoos 25 New Milford 5

The Wahoos openned up the 2010 Nutmeg games with a resounding 25-5 victory over The New Milford Storm at Martha Hart Park in New Britain. The Wahoos pounded out 22 hits in the win. They were led by Patrick Baron (4-5, 2 runs), Joe Morrisey (3-5, 2 runs), Jeff LaRosa (3-4, 3 runs, double), Grady Brockway (3-5, 5 runs scored), and Michael Mack (3-5, 5 runs scored). WHLL Tournament: WHYBL 10 WHLL Wahoos 0

The Wahoos had their 3 game win streak stopped in a 10-0 loss to WHYBL in a game that was much closer than the score indicated. For the first three innings, starting pitchers Chase Jeter for WHYBL and Michael Mack for WHLL were wrapped up in a pitcher's duel. Youth got their lead off man on in the first but Mack then retired the next three hitters.
